Academic challenges in the classroom demand that students read and understand quickly. Outside the classroom, the challenge continues as students read magazines, newspapers, instructions, and other types of informational material. Reading  Strategies Class teaches students valuable reading comprehension strategies that can be applied to a wide range of texts across the curriculum. This is accomplished through focusing on the areas of Guided Reading, Reading Fluency, Vocabulary/Word-Work, Self-Selected Reading, and Reader's Response.
